 "Falcon" - the first Soviet rock band (they were called then beat group), "legend" of Russian rock. The band was formed in late 1964 in Moscow at the initiative of guitarist Yuri Ermakov. The structure also includes Igor Goncharuk, Vyacheslav Sandpiper, Sergei Timashev. The first administrator of the group was Yuri Aizenshpis. 
  The name is connected with the Moscow region Sokol, where members of the group lived. 
Like all early Soviet groups, based on the repertoire of "Falcon" stars lying works of Western pop and rock music: Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, the group "The Beatles." However Ermakov Goncharuk became authors first rock composition, written in Russian ("Where is the edge", 1965). 
  The first performance of "Falcon" was held on October 6, 1964 in Moscow at the cafe "Impromptu", then the band performed in various Moscow cafes and houses of culture, dance floors, etc. The group first began performing on the professional stage in 1966, when the ensemble was invited to work in Tula Oblast Philharmonic, where, under the name "Silver Strings" worked for more than a year, having to drive around in that time with the program "Songs of the world" almost the entire country. 
  Changes occur in the group: out Timashov and drums sits Vladimir Doronin, but soon changes his Viktor Ivanov ("Audiophiles"). Some time in the group of the orchestra sings vocalist Eddie Rosner Leo Sawyer (in 1971 emigrated to the United States). At the end of 1967 "Falcon" farewell to the Philharmonie, and decided to become lovers again. 
  In 1968, the "Falcon" wrote the music for the animated film F. Khitruk "Film, film, film." This is the only recording of "Falcon", with the rest of the time. 
In late 1969, the band broke up.
